On a related subject, here is a plea from the heart from a GP receptionist in North Nottingham, known personally by Steve. She didn't write it but endorses every word.

Post Office temporary opening hours Mon - Fri 10:00 - 15:00 and Closed Saturday and Sunday.
Dustbins - Refuse collection resources increased - announcement by Rushcliffe Council - https://www.rushcliffe.gov.uk/aboutus/newsandpublications/latestnews/stories/name,53053,en.php. A recent Facebook post warns that we should handle our bins with gloves or wash hands both before putting our bins out and after collection. Anecdotal but makes sense, since the collectors touch so many in a day. Protects us and them. As per the NHS round of applause, perhaps 'bin day' is a good opportunity to show our appreciation for the refuse collectors too.
Recycling - Rugby Road Centre is closed
Bring Sites (bottle banks etc.) are still being operated by Rushcliffe Council but on a less frequent basis, on the assumption that people are conforming with government instructions to only go out for essential purposes. Ellis Fund and Tarracycle have both suspended recycling operations, so our local Drop-off sites are also closed. The general request from all recycling organisations is that, where possible, people stockpile their recycling items at home until the crisis is over.
Status reports from our political representatives:-
All Play Areas are now closed - yes that includes the Hook and the ones on Oaktree Close and Adbolton Grove (have they cleaned that one up yet, anyway?). The public parks are still open for exercise and dog walking - please maintain Social Distancing at all times.
No. 11 Bus service now suspended as of 25 March 2020. The 90 (Nottingham-Newark) is also suspended, operated by Marshalls - https://www.marshallscoaches.co.uk/services.html. The L22/23 buses are also now suspended, check the CT4N website.
The Cotgrave and the Mainline (Radcliffe & Bingham to Nottingham) are still running, with Radcliffe Road stops outbound at Gertrude Road and Rutland Road, stops inbound are on Davies Road and, of course, West Bridgford centre. Reduced timetable - see Trent Barton website - https://trentbarton.co.uk/. The tram is operating a Sunday Service every day - https://thetram.net/.
Eva's Grill is back online - again - Delivery and collect from 5pm-10pm 7 days a week. Visit: https://www.evasgrill.co.uk, Download: http://onelink.to/4h79h4.

Shopping in general - no way we can keep up with this subject, but we have a go - see below for shops and takeaways who deliver and for local shops still operating. The large supermarkets are reserving certain times and days for those at risk and/or for support workers (health, police etc). Therefore best to check their websites before heading out for that once-a-week shop.
