Dog mess - what do we do about it?

Many people have dog. many people also have plastic bags to cope with the resulting mess, but some owners don't. This lead a Simon Wilson, a Lady Bay resident to post a comment on his site - HERE. Lady Bay has a Litter Picking group, a Planters group, is there call for a Poo Patrol too?

I have telephoned the council twice about the lack of dog poo bins and also the irresponsible few dog owners in Lady Bay, it amazes me how many local residents walk their dogs and allow them to poo on the street or on the paths down to the river. It is dangerous and unhygienic.
As a mother of 2 young children it is absolutely disgusting having to clean my children's shoes, buggies and sometimes clothes of dog poo. Local dog walkers should be MORE responsible.
