Abacus is a long established community run preschool, offering a learning through play experience.   We are a registered charity with a good Ofsted report. 

Our staff are friendly and qualified; including an experienced infant teacher.

We aim to provide a happy, safe, friendly, environment where children can meet and play together.

Children gain confidence and skills within a wider environment through curriculum based fun activities. 

Play activities are designed to provide the children with a rich and stimulating environment for their social, emotional, intellectual and physical development.

A good selection of equipment is available during sessions and we make full use of both indoor and outdoor areas.  Free flow play to a secure outside area.

Our resources are chosen to give children a balanced view of the world and an appreciation of the rich diversity of our multi-cultural society.

Sessional and full day care is available.

Children welcome from aged 2.  Nappies and toilet training are not a problem.

15 hours per week funded childcare. We are registered to accept Fair Care, Computershare, Salary Exchange and Edenred vouchers.  However we can register with any schemes if required.

Session times are :

Monday – Friday 9.00-12.00

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 13.00–16.00

Lunch club 12.00-13.00

All day care available Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
