Lady Bay - West Bridgford

Edwalton, Gamston & District U3A

Two years old !

Edwalton, Gamston & District U3A celebrated its second birthday in September and are very keen to welcome new members from Lady Bay. As one of the smallest U3As in Nottingham there are many activity groups where there is no waiting list.

The current range of activities includes Bridge, Family History, Gardening, Outings and Wine tasting. New activity groups which are planned include Antiques, Archaeology, IT, Singing for Pleasure and Yoga.

If you have time on your hands during the day, work part time or are (semi) retired then this may be just what you are looking for. Most of the activities are organised at members’ houses but, in addition, there is a monthly meeting on the 2nd Thursday of every month (except August) from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Gamston Community Hall, Ambleside, Nottingham NG2 6PS (close to Morrison’s). At the monthly meeting you have the opportunity to meet new friends, socialise with tea or coffee, and listen to a speaker.

The range of subjects over the coming months includes Bess of Hardwick, The history of beer, The Titanic, Will writing and Tales of a dairy farmer. For more information on each meeting or to look at our photo archive please refer to
