Lady Bay - West Bridgford

Meeting about Rugby Club

Wednesday 1 July, 8pm, All Hallows Church Hall

Nottingham Rugby Club moved to the Lady Bay Sports Ground on Holme Road in November. Since then many local residents have complained about match day noise from the PA system and light pollution from the new floodlights. There have also been numerous complaints about noise from the hospitality marquee which has been used on match days & for evening events until 1am in the morning. All of this has impacted negatively on local residents.

NRC is now seeking "temporary" planning permission to allow them to erect a new marquee for five years. Their application says “temporary permission will (give) NRC time to come forward with revised proposals for the provision of permanent facilities at Lady Bay”. NRC envisages making “further planning applications seeking permission for the development of new facilities including grandstands, clubhouse, training facilities and storage space".

Numerous Lady Bay residents have objected to the planning application, including both our Lady Bay Ward Councillors, Richard & Sue Mallender, on behalf of local residents.

There will be a meeting with your Ward Councillors at 8pm on Wednesday 1 July at All Hallows Church (Breckles Hall) on Pierrepont Road, Lady Bay. Come along and find out more, and make your views known.
