Rushcliffe School all-weather pitch update

Public consultation

Councillor Richard Mallender has passed on the following message to us:

Public Consultation: Rushcliffe School plans to improve its all-weather sports pitches and make them available for community use.

Rushcliffe School has plans to redevelop its all-weather sports facilities using the latest multi-sport surfaces, suitable for football and hockey, including new fencing and possibly a new sports pavilion.

The school became an Academy in 2012 and inherited an all-weather hockey pitch and 5-a-side football pitch which were not of adequate quality for use by local sports clubs.

The proposed pitches have the potential to be of enormous benefit to the school and also to the local community and local sports clubs. This is a significant investment in the sporting lives of our pupils, and the wider community.

The school would welcome the views of neighbours, local sports clubs, other schools and potential partner organisations who may wish to be involved in this venture.

We previously consulted regarding this proposal back in May 2013. Our plans have advanced a little so it is appropriate to re-launch the consultation.

We would therefore like to invite you to a public consultation between 5pm and 8.30pm on Friday 4th April in the Eatz dining hall (up the main driveway towards the Leisure Centre, and on the right just after the cycle compound).

We hope to see you there.

Yours faithfully
