LADY BAY OPEN GARDENS

Saturday 6-7 July 2019 1.00pm to 5.00pm

Lady Bay, West Bridgford, Nottingham

This will be our 28th Open Gardens, usually with over 20 gardens taking part. The trail is mainly in a tree-lined Victorian setting bounded by the River Trent and Grantham Canal.

Each year you can look forward to entertainment, activities for kids, plant sales, live music, teas and cakes, refreshments fundraising.

There will be other surprise attractions and information stands connected with gardening and the environment. The Scouts serve refreshments in their HQ on Mona Road and Leonard Cheshire Disability serve Cream Teas at 1 Julian Road.

Proceeds to Lady Bay Community Fund, Leonard Cheshire Disability and various charities nominated by garden owners.

How to get a ticket.  You can buy the  programme ticket on the day from any participating garden. There will also be a map at the Post Office and participating gardens will be identified by yellow balloons. Cost: £3.50 adults, accompanied children free.

The deadline for garden entries is now closed.

The organisers are aiming to build on the amazing success of previous years and raise even more money for charities and other local good causes. Proceeds will go to the Lady Bay Community Fund, Leonard Cheshire Disability and various charities nominated by garden owners. Last year, the event raised over £7,800.

The events Chair Tony Papkiewicz said, “We have a fantastic mix of gardens opening again this year, some new and some of the old favourites as well as entertainment and tasty refreshments for all the family to enjoy. We are excited to have three local businesses supporting this year’s event including Holy Calzone on Trent Boulevard, local Estate Agent Rex Gooding and CL4Women financial planners.
