This will be our 28th Open Gardens, usually with over 20 gardens taking part. The trail is mainly in a tree-lined Victorian setting bounded by the River Trent and Grantham Canal.
Each year you can look forward to entertainment, activities for kids, plant sales, live music, teas and cakes, refreshments fundraising.
There will be other surprise attractions and information stands connected with gardening and the environment. The Scouts serve refreshments in their HQ on Mona Road and Leonard Cheshire Disability serve Cream Teas at 1 Julian Road.
Proceeds to Lady Bay Community Fund, Leonard Cheshire Disability and various charities nominated by garden owners.
Cost: £3.50 adults, accompanied children free.
How to get event passports:
Buy the programme on the day from any participating garden. There will also be a map at the Post Office and participating gardens will be identified by yellow balloons.
The volunteer committee are asking for Lady Bay residents to submit a yes, no or maybe if they are interested in opening their garden by emailing the chairman, Tony on [email protected] The deadline for entries is 12 May 2019.
The organisers are aiming to build on the amazing success of previous years and raise even more money for charities and other local good causes. Proceeds will go to the Lady Bay Community Fund, Leonard Cheshire Disability and various charities nominated by garden owners. Last year, the event raised over £7,800.
